Bishop Kurialacherry College for Women is a renowned institution of higher education located in Amalagiri, Kottayam, Kerala, India. It was established in 1965 and the College is affiliated with M.G University, Kottayam, and offers many U.G and P.G courses in a wide range of disciplines, nurturing the overall development of its students, and fostering a culture of research and innovation makes it a preferred destination for students from across the country. Having completed 58 years of its existence this College has proven itself in its mission and also has achieved laurels in the higher education arena. The College has been accredited with an A + Grade in the 4th cycle of Assessment and Accreditation by the NAAC for the year 2019 with a CGPA of 3.41. And we ranked 89th in the country-wide NIRF Ranking in the 2021-22 Academic year.

About RUSA Project

It’s our pleasure to announce that Bishop Kurialacherry College for Women, Amalagiri has been selected as one of the colleges for implementation of the RUSA scheme. Under the RUSA scheme Rs. 2.00 crores have been sanctioned under three heads, (1) New construction - Rs. 100.00 lakhs (2) Renovation and up-gradation Rs. 47. 00 lakhs and (3) New equipment and facilities Rs. 53.00 lakhs respectively. Under the new construction head, the new Academic building has been completed. The Chemistry lab, Guest room, and other facilities on the college campus were upgraded using the grants available for Renovation. The existing equipment facilities in Chemistry, Geology, Botany department, and classrooms will be converted into the state of art facilities using the funds available for new types of equipment and facilities budget head.
