Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara

Bishop Moore College, Mavelikara, Alappuzha, Kerala is established in 1964 and it is affiliated to the University of Kerala. The college is ranked 58 in NIRF 2022, 89 in NIRF 2021, 76 in NIRF 2020, in the rank band 101–150 in NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) 2019, and ranked 92 in NIRF 2018. The college is accredited by NAAC with an "A" Grade in 2017 (Third Cycle of Accreditation). The college is managed by the Madhya Kerala Diocese of the Church of South India, and offers 11 undergraduate programs, five postgraduate programs, and two research programs. It is located at Kallumala, Mavelikara. The current principal of the college is Dr. Jacob Chandy.

About RUSA Project

RUSA has sanctioned a Two- Crore project proposal sent by the college for infrastructure development under three heads- New Construction (Rs. 1,00,00,000), Renovation (Rs.80,00,000) and Purchase (Rs.20,00,00). New Construction work includes construction of a new block in the college women’s hostel compound which consist of dining hall, kitchens, pantry, wash area, wash room, and store rooms in the ground floor and staff bedroom and toilet in the first floor. Renovation work includes Granite Work, Solid Block work, Plastering Work, False Ceiling work, tile work and electrical works and Installation of the solar panel (50kwp). The College has been utilizing the government allocated funds, under the supervision of two well-formed bodies at institutional level – the Board of Governors (BoG) and a Project Monitoring Committee.
