CMS College Kottayam
CMS College Kottayam, Kerala established in 1817 is one of the premier institutions of Higher Education in India which is committed to the highest of values and strives to be a place of enduring quality while setting foot into the third century. The College has 149 teaching faculty, catering to 2629 students enrolled in 16 UG, 16 PG, 74 research scholars in 8 PhD programmes. Being more open, diverse and outwardly engaged with a diversified hereditament, the college proudly holds the ceremonious special heritage status and embraces the heritage in its various forms - socio-cultural, natural, architectural and literary.
About RUSA Project
RUSA has sanctioned a Two- Crore project proposal sent by the CMS College Kottayam for infrastructure development under three heads- New Construction, Renovation and Purchase. RUSA 2.0 funded projects include the construction of an Academic building of total area of 552.12 sq.m - 122.85 lakhs. Renovation works includes Language Lab and Media room- 28.94 lakhs, Chemistry annex -18.93 lakhs, Academic building of Mathematics department- 6.14 lakhs,. The College has been utilizing the government allocated funds in these development projects under the supervision of two well-formed bodies at institutional level – the Board of Governors (BoG) and a Project Monitoring Committee (PMC).
