Deva Matha College Kuravilangad

Deva Matha College Kuravilangad is one of the prominent institutions in the Higher Education arena of Central Kerala, rendering contributions to transform a rural agrarian society through knowledge enlightenment and value enrichment over decades. Founded in 1964, the College is affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and is managed by Major Archiepiscopal Marth Mariam Archdeacon Pilgrim Church, Kuravilangad. The College is declared as a Minority Educational Institution by NCMEI Act 2004 and is included under Section 2 (f) and 12 B of UGC Act 1956. The College is awarded A Grade (CGPA 3.23) by NAAC in 2017. Spreading across 12.5 acres, the College offers Twelve Under Graduate Programmes, Nine Post Graduate Programmes and Two Doctoral Programmes.

About RUSA Project

RUSA Project was sanctioned to Deva Matha College, Kuravilangad in 2018 for an amount of Rs. Two Crore. The project was granted to the College for three components, including construction, renovation and purchase. Construction fund of Rs. One Crore was sanctioned for constructing the Digital Library building. The construction of the Digital Library building is now successfully completed in full. Kerala State Housing Board, Kottayam Unit was the accredited agency. For renovation, Rs. 30 Lakh is allocated. Renovation work includes renovation of Multi-Purpose Auditorium which is currently progressing. For the purpose of purchase of new equipments and facilities, Rs. 70 Lakh is sanctioned which is yet to be utilized.
