GOVERNMENT COLLEGE MADAPPALLY
Situated in the Madappally hills of Onchiyam Panchayat, about 8 kilometer north off Vadakara in Kozhikode district, Kerala. Govt. College, Madappally is the main hub of higher education in north Malabar. The college, which came into existence in 1958, is affiliated to University of Calicut, and offers 10 UG and 8 PG programmes, and 4 Research centres, in Humanities, Commerce and Science. The college has conducive ambience for the pursuance of academic and research activities with the support of well-equipped libraries, laboratories, language labs, seminar halls and smart classrooms, to a mention a few. Moreover, the college campus is comfortably spacious, and extends up to 27.19 acres of land which include playgrounds, girls’ hostel and a botanical garden. The college is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade in 2019 in its 3rd cycle.
About RUSA Project
A total amount of Rupees 1,99,99,167 was sanctioned for Govt. College Madappally under RUSA 1 project in four instalments. The college has utilised the fund sanctioned by RUSA for meeting its key objective - to improve quality in higher education through planned development of the institution. The fund has been utilised for the following developmental works;

- 4) Renovation and maintenance work
- 5) Construction of indoor stadium - first phase
- 6) Purchase of lab equipment
- 7) Purchase of desktop computers

- 9) Purchase of Computer tables
- 10) Installation of Wi-Fi
- 11) Installation of PA system
- 12) Purchase of water cooler
- 13) Purchase of printer
