Government College, Munnar
Government College, Munnar was established in the year 1995 with the affiliation under Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The college offers UG programmes in Mathematics, Economics, Tamil and B.com and PG programme in Economics. The College is about 1.5 KM away from Munnar town and is located at Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway. It is situated by the side of the Munnar-Devikulam road. Supplementary to this, it is a rare chance for the students of this college to study while enjoying the beauty of nature.
About RUSA Project
The college, which lost its building in the 2018 floods, is currently functioning in a temporary system. Land acquisition for the reconstruction of the college is in progress. At present the college is functioning in a building under DTPC with temporary facilities. As soon as the college gets its own facilities, the projects for utilization of RUSA funds will be started
