G.P.M. Government College, Manjeshwaram
This college is located at the northernmost part of the Kasaragod district in Kerala. Majority of the students studying in this college belong to backward class and are below poverty line. The college compound is spread over about 32 acres. This college has four UG courses and three PG courses. Thisis only one Govt. College located in the backward area of the District. The college is named after the Kannada Poet laureate, Govinda Pai. Proper infrastructural development and availability of new courses can make this college one of the leading colleges.
About RUSA Project
Under RUSA project phase IInd and amount of 2 Crore as been sanctioned. The amount has been allocated for three heads construction (Rs. 9730000/-), renovation (44,56,335/-) and Purchase (Rs 5813665/-). The construction work of the Canteen cum student amenity centre could not be started after the contractor agency demand for revising estimate. One remaining project include many renovation works, that renovation of seminar hall, Principal chamber, Eco damping College auditorium project also include purchases out of which major purchases have been completed.
