KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri
KAHM Unity Women’s College was established in 1991 and is run by Muslim Educational and Cultural Association (MECA), a registered society. Started as a First Grade Aided College affiliated to the University of Calicut, it is the first multi-faculty (Arts, Science & Commerce) women’s college in Malappuram District. The institution aims mainly at the upliftment of women in general and the educationally backward Muslim women in particular, through modern good quality education. The college currently runs 10 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate courses in a panoramic setting with enchanting greenery. The college has been reaccredited in 2019 (third cycle) by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
About RUSA Project
The RUSA Detailed Project Report of the college has been formulated by strictly following the guidelines of the RUSA and by considering several aspects including the master plan of the college and the action plan prepared by the IQAC of the college. Apart from that, emphasis has been given to the recommendations and suggestions provided by the NAAC peer team. Attention has been paid to improve the academic performance, research output and overall quality of the college. A sum of Rs. 2 crores are being allotted for construction, renovation and purchase. The construction and renovation works are completed under Nirmiti Kendra, Malappuram.
