About RUSA Project

RUSA in its second round of operations has sanctioned an amount of Rupees 2 crores to K.K.T.M. Government College, Pullut, Thrissur, Kerala vide order No. 159/RUSA-SPD/2010 dated 13/6/2018. The college in its turn has acquired a score of 2.74 in the second cycle of NAAC accreditation. K.K.T.M. Government College is one of the five Government Colleges in Thrissur District having maximum number of Science programmes. Out of the eight Undergraduate programmes, five are Science programmes. The amount sanctioned for the college is under the heads construction, renovation and purchase. Under the head of construction, we have proposed a Centralised Computer Lab, Research Room, Seminar Hall, Store room of Physical Education Department and construction of Ladies and Gents toilets. These together constitute 80.60 lakhs.

• Under the head renovation, the proposals made are renovation of Office building, renovation of pond, renovation of heritage museum, setting up of IQAC room, PTA room and Vice Principal’s room, renovation of herbal garden and renovation of examination hall, amounting to Rupees 59.40 lakhs.
• Under the head purchase we have proposed items required in computer lab, library, office, audio-visual room, canteen, museum and class rooms. The total cost of these equipment amounts to Rupees 60 lakhs.
• Under the construction and renovation head, 93% works have been completed and balance works in progress to be completed before 31/03/2023. College extends our whole hearted gratitude to RUSA for its support and hope that further assistance from RUSA will contribute to a face lift of our College.
