Malabar Christian College, Calicut

Malabar Christian College Calicut is founded in the year 1909. It is a Government-Aided Private Arts and Science College in Kozhikode district, affiliated to University of Calicut, included under sections 2(f) and 12B of the University Grants Commission. The college is managed by Diocese of Malabar of the Church of South India. The college was graded A by the NAAC after the third cycle of the reaccreditation of the college in 2018. At present, the college offers 11 undergraduate and 11 post graduate programmes. Departments of Zoology, Chemistry, Malayalam and History are approved research centres.

About RUSA Project

RUSA Project of the college is the construction of a new library complex of two floors, with adequate reading space and book stacking area for the efficient functioning the college library with increased acquisition. The renovation of Conference Room, Seminar Hall and Banquet Hall is second part of the project that will definitely lead to an immediate quality gain. The third part of the project is purchase of LCDs and Computers for adequate facility for ICT enabled education and procurement of sophisticated equipment for the timely updating of laboratories in all the science departments.
