Government College Malappuram
Govt. College, Malappuram was established in the year 1972 as the premier arts and Science College in the government sector in Malappuram district. The college is affiliated to University of Calicut and offers 9 UG programmes and 7 PG programmes. Nearly 2000 students are studying and 120 staffs are catering them. So far, the institution has paved the way for higher education for thousands of youths who have been, in fact, the live presence in almost all walks of life in the district, the state, and the national levels. College celebrated golden jubilee in 2022.
About RUSA Project
The RUSA-2 project is consists of three components namely; Construction, Renovation and Purchase. In which the college intended to construct classrooms on the first floor of existing P.G block of the college, which is essential to provide adequate working space for the smooth functioning of the college, renovate the roof top of the existing science block to avoid the rain water leakage using tress work and that will convert into common exam halls in college and aims to purchase furniture respectively under different components. In short, the actualization of the present project may not only satisfy the critical infrastructure needs of the college but also provide a better academic ambiance to the entire institution.
