Mar Theophilus Training College, established in 1956 under the guidance of Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios. Our college is dedicated to shaping teachers with a well-rounded personality for effective community building. The college's mission is to cultivate teachers with a balanced personality and social consciousness, as reflected in its motto, "Dominus mea illuminatio "meaning "God is my light." Since, 1956 to the present, the College has successfully trained over ten thousand teachers. The institution currently comprises three departments: B.Ed., M.Ed., and Research. Presently, hundred students are enrolled in the B.Ed. program, 21 students in M.Ed stream and 68 students are actively engaged in research at Mar Theophilus Training College. Mar Theophilus Training College, extends whole hearted support in the activities of University of Kerala. The college has actively supported University of Kerala in various B.Ed. activities, and it has played a pivotal role in revision of syllables, the last two curriculum revisions were held in Mar Theophilus Training College. Since the year 2000, the college has been publishing a journal titled "Teacher Learner and Society." Additionally, Mar Theophilus Training College conducts National and International Seminars and workshops. Furthermore, the college has a rich history of organizing 5 International Seminars. Mar Theophilus Training College remains committed to its mission of producing educators with a holistic perspective and contributing significantly to the field of teacher education.
