Mar Thoma College Tiruvalla

The College was established in 1952 and is administered by the Mar Thoma Syrian Church. The College accredited by NAAC in 1998 and is one of the first Colleges to do so in India. The college got A grade in all the remaining three cycles of reaccreditation held in the years 2005, 2012 and 2019 respectively. In the NIRF Ranking the College has been ranked 92nd in 2019, 84th in 2020 and 80th in 2021. The College offers 12 UG, 11 PG, 7 PhD and 25 supplementary enrichment programmes. At present there are 1586 students and 102 teaching faculty.

About RUSA Project

An amount of Rs. 2 crore was sanctioned to the College under the RUSA scheme 2.0 For the following proposals: New construction- Rs.94 Lakhs, renovation- Rs.66 Lakhs (replacement of roofing sheets, truss work with Trafford sheet, Office renovation and tiling work) and Rs.40 Lakhs for purchase of text books and new equipments. For the new construction and renovation the work was awarded to M/s Habitat Technology Group and the work started in September 2020. The new construction and tiling is nearing completion. The truss work and office renovation have been completed.
