Marian College Kuttikkanam

Marian College Kuttikkanam was founded in 1995 as a Government Aided College, affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. The institution started with only 3 UG programs, 183 students, and 8 teachers and has now grown into an Autonomous College with 18 programs, including 8 PG, 10 UG, and 2 Diploma programs with over 1740 students and 108 teachers including adjunct faculty. Moreover, we have a research program in Commerce and established a research center in association with Lincoln University College Malaysia. Marian epitomizes the educational philosophy, mission, and objectives of the Catholic Diocese of Kanjirappally in central Kerala. Marian holds the envious distinction of being the youngest accredited College in India in 2003 and currently holds a re-accreditation with a CGPA of 3.52/4 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The College also won the prestigious status of the College with Potential for Excellence (CPE) from the University Grants Commission (UGC) twice in 2009 and 2014. It was conferred autonomous status in May 2016 and was ranked 84th in NIRF 2018.

About RUSA Project

The new 6,000 square feet gymnasium, which has been prepared at a cost of Rs 1.5 crores received under the RUSA project, has more than thirty machines, treadmills, various types of bicycles, spin bikes, gym balls, and aerobic steppers to help develop fitness. There is an opportunity for powerlifting, weightlifting, and bodybuilding training. There are also different types of dumbbells, weight plates, lifting bars and gym boats. There are separate male and female shower and chi rooms with modern facilities. Special trainers are also appointed.
