Mar Thoma College Chungathara, Malappuram

Mar Thoma College, Chungathara was established in 1981 by the Mar Thoma Church (Managed by Mar Thoma College Chungathara Educational Society) for the upliftment of the Socially, Economically and culturally backward community in the Nilambur Taluk of Malappuram Dt. Kerala. The motto of the College is “let your light shine” with the aim of the development of the rural community with Value based Education. The vision is – “A College for rural development, engaged in providing transformative educational opportunities in shaping the young minds to be genuine partners in the building up of a just socuiety where integrity of creation prevails” The College has been accredited by NAAC in the third Cycle with B Grade in 2021. The institution has acquired l UGC affiliation and comes under 2 (f) and 12 B of the UGC Act. The College is permanently affiliated to the University of Calicut and offering 8 UG, 3 PG Programs and One Research Centre (Commerce).

About RUSA Project

1.Construction of New Academic Block
(Estimate – 118,00,000– 1 Crore RUSA and 18 Lakh Mgt.) The new academic block provides infrastructural facilities to the Research Department of Commerce with ICT enabled Class rooms, Conference Hall, Research Scholars room and Staff room. The total area of the building is 626 Sq Mtrs.
2.Renovation of the existing Facilities Estimate – 70 Lakhs
- Library Renovation - Tiling and Renovation of Windows.
