Pazhassiraja College, Pulpally

Pazhassiraja College was established in the year 1982 in the picturesque Wonderland of Wayanad District of Kerala situated on the eastern slopes of the Western Ghats. The College is affiliated to the University of Calicut and was founded by the 'Pazhassiraja Education Society' which was formed to cater to the needs of the local people in Higher Education. The college started functioning on the 20th of October 1982. The College offers 11 UG & 6 PG Programmes. The college is accredited by NAAC with A+ grade in the second cycle in 2022.

About RUSA Project

Based on the current and proposed requirements an amount of 2 crores have been approved. This consists of three sections. The first one is Construction, the second on is Renovation and the third one is for the purchase of the various items as the requirements of a growing number of students.

Section I : Construction – Classrooms (Total cost 1 Crore)

Creation of a new facilities in the wake of emerging requirements and increasing need for the capacity, a new academic block has been envisaged for construction. In the newly built academic block, the two floors constructed with the financial support of RUSA (2), have seven classrooms, the latest interactive – technology – enabled seminar hall, an examination hall, and a wash area.

Section II – Renovation

Renovation consist of : (1) Renovation of Library, (2) Making of Ramp for disabled students, (3) Flooring of Ground floor of the building constructed by the management and upgradation of sports facilities.
