P.K.M College of Education, Madampam, Kannur established in 1995 is a Government Aided Teacher Education Institution affiliated to, Kannur University, Prof Kandoth Memorial (P.K.M) College of Education is a Christian Minority Educational Institution, managed by the Knanaya Catholic Community, Archeparchy of Kottayam. It is recognized by NCTE, included under UGC(2f)and 12B category, accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade in 2006 and reaccredited in 2016 with ‘A; grade (4 point scale). This college offers an undergraduate two-year B. Ed programme in 6 subjects- English, Malayalam, Mathematics, Natural Science, Physical Science and Social Science with an annual total intake of 50 students with an aggregate strength of 100.

About RUSA Project

RUSA 2.0 project of P.K.M. College of Education is under the component 7: Infrastructure Grant to Colleges. Out of the two crores, one crore is allocated for the new construction, 75 lakhs for Renovation and 25 lakhs for the purchase. The New Construction is a building with five Technologically enabled class rooms.The renovation works include civil and electrical works of the existing academic building. The purchase of the project includes facilities for the newly constructed classrooms. The BoG is headed by Mar Joseph Pandarasseril, Manager and the PMU is by Dr Jessy N.C, Principal. Dr Prasanth Mathew is the Project Coordinator and District Nirmithi Kendra, Kannur (non PMC) is the agency for the Construction and Renovation works.
