Sahodaran Ayyappan Smaraka SNDP Yogam College founded in 1995 by the Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana Yogam, Kollam is a fast developing college in Konni, Pathanamthitta District of Kerala. Situated in 22 acres of land, it has strength of 737 students, 40 teachers and 20 office staff. The courses offered here are BBA, BCA, BCom, BSc Mathematics, MSc Biotechnology, MSc Geology, MSc Computer Science, MSc Physics and MCom. Keeping in view of the changing role and greater social responsibility of an educational institution, the college conducts various extension activities. The college tirelessly tries to uphold the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru Devan in all its deeds.

About RUSA Project

RUSA Kerala allocated Rs2 Crore to our institution during 2019 – 2020 academic year. After careful deliberations a computer laboratory was proposed to be built on the campus as there are around 250 students, of both UG and PG, study here for Computer applications and a laboratory with all infrastructure facilities that can accommodate at least 100 students at a time is an imperative. This laboratory is beneficial to all the students and staff of this college. Thus, with the approval of the college management and college level RUSA committees, the proposed laboratory with teachers’ room and toilet facilities was constructed with an amount of Rs. One Crore. Rs23.5 Lakhs was used for the renovation of college office, cafeteria and staff toilets. Rest of the amount, Rs76.5 Lakhs will be utilized for office networking, purchasing lab equipment, computers, library books chemicals, gadgets for teaching, furniture, software and fixing solar panel.
