SES College, Sreekandapuram, nestling in scenic surroundings is one of the most reputed colleges affiliated to Kannur University. Established in 1981 by Sreekandapuram Educational Society, the college is envis aged to cater to the academic aspirations of the people in the Muncipality of Sreekandapuram and panchayaths of Malappattam, Mayyil, Irikkur, Padiyoor, Ulikkal, Payyavoor, Eruvessi, Naduvil, Chengalayi, Kurumathur. The institution had a humble beginning as a junior college affiliated to Calicut University and offering Pre-degree courses. In 1991, the college was upgraded to a first grade college by commencing an undergraduate course in Mathematics. With the gradual delinking of Pre-degreee, more undergraduate courses were started. Now the college conducts eight undergraduate courses and two post graduate courses with strength of nearly seven hundred students. Last year college was accredited by NAAC in its second cycle with B+ grade.
