Proposal 1: Every year the university increases the number of seats for each course and the government is sanctioning more and more academic cum skill oriented courses. The college has been very vigilant to respond positively for this change and therefore more number of class rooms with adequate space is necessary for the effective classroom learning of the students. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that this college caters the academic needs of first-generation learners of the tribal community also in the area. The place is geographically difficult to reach and to go to other districts for education and this institution is one of the few places offering higher education in the district. New class rooms are most essential in this aspect and therefore the fund requirement can be justified. Water supply and electric supply systems need to be integrated effectively with the new construction. In the present days of escalating infections, hygienic toilet complex is necessary for the students. The work construction wasalready completed and inaugurated in April 29, 2022.

Proposal 2: This is aimed at the renovation of the already existing infrastructure of the college and is for the basic infrastructural upgradation and upliftment of the college campus and surroundings. The main renovations are regarding the Mainblock frontage where drive way paving and walkway paving shave to be done to create smooth movement of pedestrians and vehicles near the main block.Being an ecologically fragile region and a place of declining water table, the interlocking arrangement is necessary for the Main block front side. This only can ensure the penetration of the rain water in to the soil to maintain the ground water table of the region. The same strategy is needed for other renovations. Parking areas of varying security levels are needed for the college and is envisioned in main block parking paving and jubilee block basement parking flooring with skirting. The closed parking in the basement of the newly constructed Jubilee block requires flooring and proper shutters. In fact, an area for parking the staff vehicles for around 13 cars is planned in the first phase behind the North block of the college. The paving is to be done to create clean parking areas and driveways. In the rainy season for a place like Wayanad, where drizzling rains prolonging for days are common, a foot path top canteen with rain shelter is a necessity. The Main entrance gate to the college is existing since the inception of the college.Being an agriculturally focused area, adequate protection from animals is needed for the campus and this is possible with the renovation for the main entrance gate. By maintaining the basic structure a total renovation of the structure is planned keeping in mind the demands of the modern college and adding an extra gate and relocation of the security cabin.Maintenance of strict discipline in the boy’s hostel can be ensured by the renovation of the entrance gate of Boys Hostel. This entrance gate of the Boys hostel is to be renovated and made secure with a proper gateway and a gate and demarcated paved areas for guest parking. All these works are taken up to ensure an overall uplift of the college environment to facilitate learning in an organized environment. The renovation already completed and waiting for the inauguration.

PROPOSAL III: PURCHASE

5 Computer system 8.57
6 De centralized electronic surveillance system 2.4
7 Public Address System 2.19
8 RFID Implementation in the library 16.36
Total 60 ( Forty lakhs only)

Proposal 3: Adequate furniture is necessary for the cafeteria to accommodate all the students. A district such as Wayanad, where green energy is given supreme place, renewable energy and its use has got great relevance. Solar power generation system can be very useful for everyday energy requirements of the college, especially in the laboratories. Ina place like Wayanad, which is 900 to 1200 feet higher than sea level, lighting is more frequent and lightning arresters are a must. Being a forest concentrated district, power failures are very common and without adequate number of UPS, continuous academic activities are not possible. The protection of the purchased items from theft also must be a concern of the college because the stock of the equipment and assets of the college are important. Decentralized electronic surveillance systems can ensure this safety to a big extent. Library, which is the primary centre of learning for the present day must be digitized so that manual issue and return of books can be automated. This can extent the services of the library to more number of students without the need of more manpower in the library. Proper public address systems are necessary for the college to make seminars aswell as presentations and artistic performances most impressing.
