St. Stephen’s College was founded in 1964 as the fulfilment of a long cherished desire of its founder, His Grace Mar Thoma Dionysius, Metropolitan of Niranam Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Church. The college, affiliated to the University of Kerala, offers eight under graduate and five post graduate courses besides conducting several certificate courses. Department of Zoology and Chemistry have been recognized as Research Centres by the University of Kerala. The college was re-accredited by the NAAC Peer team at B++ Grade with CGPA 2.91 in 2022. Beautiful and serene environment is the unique feature of our college. College is endowed with facilities like a well-equipped library, seminar halls, Zoology Museum, Botanical Garden and ICT enabled class rooms. Hostel facility is available for girl students. College is proud of its Kerala Sports Council sponsored Men’s Volley ball team routinely producing national and state players. There are many academic and cultural societies and clubs functioning in the college to kindle interest in the students in their respective subjects as well as in socially relevant issues.
