In order to sustain and foster academic excellence in the higher education field the college plans to further enhance the number of books and journals relating to curricular and research fields. St. John’s College acclaimed as a distinguished centre of higher education has been playing a pivotal role in the transformation and transition of the society by imparting value-added quality education to the mostly marginalized and deprived sections of the society. The focus has been lent to the rural dwellers of the region, belonging to socially, economically, and educationally backward classes. St. John’s College has garnered a unique identity in the educational landscape by enlightening generations with knowledge and fresh insights, thus dispelling ignorance, poverty, and evils; and empowering the individual and the society of a rural mountainous area, with the standards of modern life. In 2015, the College was re-accredited with ‘A’ grade by the NAAC.
