St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery

St. Paul’s College, Kalamassery, established in the year 1965, is a pioneer institute of higher education situated in the heart of Kalamassery; strategically located in the industrial landscape of Kerala and easily accessible from Kochi city. The college is affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, and is included under sections 2(f) and 12B of the University Grants Commission (UGC). Currently, the college is offering 13 Undergraduate, 6 Postgraduate, and 2 Research programs in various disciplines as mainstream programs. Besides, the college conducts add-on and certificate programs. The majorities of the students in the college are from minority communities and represent socially and economically backward communities. Presently, 85 percent of the students are from various minority communities.

Construction :

New Building The building is a 3 storied building with a cellar floor ( G+2+Cellar floor ). The estimate is prepared for the cellar floor and ground floor only. the building is R.C.C. framed structure with C.C. block masonry walls and a plinth area of G.F. is 257.18 m2 and the Cellar floor is 257.18 m2. A provision included in the estimate is C.C 1:4:8 for column base R.C.C 1:1.5:3 for column footing, column plinth beam roof beam and roof slab, etc. Teak wood doors and windows construction of R.C.C retaining wall at cellar floor providing waterproofing to outside of retaining wall and floor of cellar floor Electrification etc.. the amount of construction including consultancy and G.S.T comes to Rs 95,00,000/-.
Renovation :

Renovation of the Auditorium, Chemistry lab, and Laying granite slab on the ground floor of the college corridor are included under Renovation. The provisions included in this appendix are laying verified tiles to the ground floor of the auditorium, painting walls, laying verified tiles to the floor of a chemistry lab, providing one working table of size 4.9*1.20, and renovating the Media room. The amount of estimate of this appendix including Consultancy charge and G.S.T comes to Rs. 55,00,000/-
